The April Tag Line update..

Its been a while since I presented a Kannada movie tagline update. Some diehard Kannada movie followers who have complained in the past as to why I do not present tag lines from other language movies are welcome to provide me this information. If Okalipuram area has movie posters from other movies, I would be more than glad to add taglines from other languages as well.

But for now, we have only the following movies.
a) Minchu – Touch me if you can
b) Prem Kahani – A Pucca love story
c) Macchaa – On Field (Movie also has an A rating for some reason)
d) Paper Dosa (Not kidding) – S.O.S (Not kidding either)
e) Yagna- The Fire Within.
f) Auto – Wheels ‘N’ Bottles

Among other news worth noting is that Mr.Vatal Nagaraj was spotted near the town hall wearing a Policeman dress and carrying a Mace (The Gadaaa). He had been allotted the coconut symbol by the election commission and was pulled up by them for allegedly selling these at 2Rs a piece. If elected, he has promised to take care of all the animals in the area, with a specific mention of donkeys. Again, I do not kid here.

Dude, it's not Paper Dosa, it's Paper Doni. I am guessing they are referring to a paper boat. :P

hehehe..paper dosa?
V is hopeless, maybe he was referring to himself when he spoke abt taking care of donkeys....like how all politicians take care of themselves after winning elections...:)

Atleast Kannada movies are surviving irrespective of competition from other language movies which rarely exists in other states.

I am glad Kannadigas are not accepting only Bollywood filth as their mode of entertainment unlike somebody whose local movies are extinct in their own capital city (Mumbai)

Clangorous:- Why so defensive about the movies themselves? I have made comments about the tag lines only if you notice and not on the quality of movies.

For now, we have to accept that some tag lines are funny. One can have a laugh at that and just let it go. Let me say one more thing, local movies of the state that has Mumbai as the capital city has never gone in for any tag lines.

So your comments are not relevant here. Lets stick to any comments you might have on tag lines issue only.

If we research more we would get equally hilarious taglines for all language movies.

Again I am really glad Okalipuram still has only Kannada movie posters rather than other language movies eating up that space too just like how they eat in to theatres meant for Kannada movies.

Any links to posters.. ?. How do we generalise none of the movies have taglines.. ?

My motive was not to be offensive or defensive. It was just a fact of the Marathi Film Industry in Mumbai because of Hindi imperialism. I wouldnt want any language of India to be subdued due to the so called wrong notion of a National Language (which is a big lie as per constitution).

and "Paper Doni" is a movie title, not a tagline.

Only when one watches a movie, he/she would be able to decide if the tagline suited the movie or it was just irrelavent.

Also I wanted the reader of this blog to have a broader perspective that not only Kannada movies have funny taglines, even the so called Hollywood has hilarious taglines.

Clangorous:-
a) Point Taken :- Bollywood movies have terrible tag lines too. Since you as a reader have sent me the links to these, I will be more than happy to put it up. I do not have any bias to any language. This was the disclaimer in my blog any way.
b) I have mentioned that Paper Doni is a movie name only. Tagline was SOS.
c) Lastly, I think you are digressing a lot here. We can start a separate discussion through mail on quality of movies or the national language or the Marathi film industry. Like i said, lets stick only to tag lines here.
